New Horizons Regional Education

Walk into the Culinary Arts lab at New Horizons Regional Education Center in Newport News, and you’ll see high school juniors and seniors cooking and baking on real world equipment in a program designed to prepare them for immediate employment or further education in a world hungry for well-prepared food (and well-prepared, talented skilled workers!)   Housed in an old elementary school, New Horizons program faced the challenges of an outdated infrastructure.  Now, the new energy-efficient hood, clean UDS system, overhead power cords, large-screen monitors, and of course, modern cooking equipment allow students to concentrate on mastering the skills presented by their dedicated instructor.  Foodservice Solutions Design Consultants is proud to have provided a cost-effective re-purposing of this existing space.
